For this year’s Christmas decorations we have to get a little bit more creative than usual. Many of us are still stuck at home which means craft supplies might be a little low, but the best crafts are always made with things you have laying around. For this craft you will need to raid your recycling bin or order delivery hot chocolate as the main supply is one of those cardboard drink holders.

Materials:

  • paper
  • red, blue, yellow, grey or white paint,
  • a sponge
upcycled snowflake
  • Cardboard drink holder
  • Paint or markers
  • String
  • Glitter Glue (optional)

Directions:

Paint your Snowflake with whatever colours suits your mood. Ours was a lovely red an white to get us in the holiday mood. Let Dry. If you do not have paints at the moment then colouring your snowflake with markers works just as well and is just as bright.

Squirt glitter glue onto each section of the holder then spread it all over so the snowflake shines in the light. Let dry.

Attach a string at the top. Then Hang in your Window or on your wall so all can see it sparkle.
