Well, School is back in full swing. Whether you have to get up every day and actually leave your house to attend or you just roll out of bed and login into your computer to join online classes, you will probably need a pen at one point or another. Who says those pens have to be boring. Why not spruce them up by marbleizing them with what ever acrylic paint colours you have stashed away in that paint set that might be gathering dust in your closet.

If using tape, first tape off the erasers and the pen end. If not, don’t worry, it just makes for a cleaner edge but it is not necessary.

Drop, drops of paint in the middle of the wax paper the length of the pencil.  You can use all of your colours or just one or two to start. Holding the eraser or the pen end (with a clothespin or your fingers) swoosh your pencil all through the paint till its completely covered. Then lean it against the wall or a plastic basket to dry.

Add more colours, if you want, and repeat with the other pencils. Let all of them completely dry, before moving onto the next step.

Once dry, paint a layer of Mod Podge over the paint, this seals the paint, so it does not rub off, let it dry over night. Don’t’ worry the mod podge dries clear. Remove the tape and now your unique pencils are ready for whatever work the teacher throw at you.
